Cl A/Prof Goh Bee Tin is Head and Senior Consultant in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) and Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Research and Education) at the National Dental Centre of Singapore (NDCS). She is also Vice-Chair, Research in the SingHealth Duke NUS Oral Health Academic Clinical Programme and founding Director of the National Dental Research Institute Singapore. Cl A/Prof Goh obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 1993. She then went on to specialize in the field of OMS, obtaining her Dental Fellowship with the Edinburgh Royal College of Surgeons in 1996 and Master of Dental Surgery from NUS in 1997. She was admitted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2000. In that same year, she was sent on a government scholarship for advanced training in cleft lip and palate and orthognathic surgery in Canada. In 2004, she furthered her training in craniofacial implantology in Sweden and the United Kingdom. She obtained a PhD in 2009 from Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands for her novel research work on modular endoprosthesis for mandibular reconstruction. Cl A/Prof Goh is also appointed Clinical Associate Professor at the NUS Dental Faculty and Duke NUS Medical School, and Adjunct Associate Professor at the Nanyang Technological University. She is active in teaching and training postgraduate students. Her research interests include bone bioengineering, oral & maxillofacial device development and novel techniques in mandibular reconstruction.

Dr Sylvia Tay is Head of Department Senior Consultant, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. She is a member of the Dental Specialist Accreditation Committee, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and an Independent Consultant for the National Healthcare Group, Domain Specific Review Board.

Dr Ganga obtained his degrees from Madras Medical College, Chennai, India and advanced sub-specialty training from the Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, USA. He specialises in the diseases and surgery of the eyelids, lacrimal system, orbit and oculofacial diseases. Committed to clinical and surgical excellence, he is a regional and international expert in disorders such as orbital trauma, ophthalmic oncology, congenital and acquired eyelid disorders, lacrimal system disorders, anophthalmic sockets, thyroid eye disease, facial palsy, etc. Some of his special interests include minimally invasive surgery (eg. endoluminal duct recanalisation(ELDR)), complex orbital trauma reconstructions (navigation surgery, bioresorbable implants and customized implants), medical and surgical rehabilitation of thyroid eye disease, and vascular lesions of the orbit.

Dr Ganga is part of the core faculty of the Department of Ophthalmology and heads the Orbit & Oculofacial Surgery Service at the National University Hospital (NUH). Dr Ganga was instrumental in starting various multidisciplinary services including the NUH Retinoblastoma service (with paediatric oncologists, neuro-interventional radiologists and pathologists), NUH Thyroid Eye Disease Service (with Endocrinologists & immunologists) and the NUH Lacrimal Service (with Rhinologists). He has trained Fellows from Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, India, Thailand, Iran, Syria, the United Kingdom and Nepal.

Dr Ganga has won many awards for his work, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology Achievement Award, Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Senior Achievement Award, Ocular Trauma Excellence Award, Best Teacher Award as well as several International Orations and named lectureships.

Dr Ganga travels widely as a regional and international faculty at various orbital and craniomaxillofacial conferences, symposia and courses raising the level of care of orbital and orbitofacial disorder and has contributed chapters to several textbooks in his field. He serves in several leadership capacities in various national, regional and international professional societies. In addition to several scientific peer reviewed publications he has authored a book on ‘Orbital Fractures – Principles, Concepts & Management’ and co-authored a book on ‘Ocular Adnexal Lesions – A clinical, pathological and radiologic correlation’.

Dr Lai Juen Bin is an MOH accredited Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon.

He received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2000 during which he received numerous awards (Dean’s List, Singapore Dental Association Bronze Medal, Gold Medal for Best in Clinical Dentistry). Thereafter, he completed a Masters of Dental Surgery in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and obtained Fellowships of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and Academy of Medicine, Singapore.

Prior to his transition to private practice, Dr Lai Juen Bin was a senior consultant and clinical assistant professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, National Dental Centre Singapore where he was involved in postgraduate OMS training. He was awarded by the Ministry of Health, Singapore for Advanced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training in the US and was made Adjunct Professor at the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, University of Alabama, Birmingham, USA in 2008-2009.

He was the head of department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Changi General Hospital from 2013 to 2020. He was also the director, Dental Service CGH clinical service of SingHealth, Duke-NUS, ORH-ACP from 2013 to 2020 and was instrumental in the development of the NDCS Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic @ Changi General Hospital. He was the core member of the multi-specialty integrated facial reconstruction service and obstructive sleep service workgroup in Changi General Hospital. Dr Lai sat in the National Dental Specialist Accreditation Board for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in 2014-2016.

As a firm believer of positive patient experience, he thrives to empathise with patients and provide quality clinical care. Dr Lai was awarded the Singapore Health Quality Service 2022 Gold award.

Dr Danny Tan is currently Senior Consultant at Sengkang General Hospital. He was awarded the Health Manpower Development Programme Scholarship to advance his skill in the field of Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) surgery. He spent one year in Karolinska Institute (KI), Sweden, under the guidance of Professor Anders Holmlund, one of the pioneers in the field of TMJ surgery and arthroscopy. During his stint in KI, he was trained in TMJ arthroscopy and the various types of TMJ surgery.

Dr Soong is a senior consultant at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, National Dental Centre Singapore. He received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and thereafter completed the graduate residency programme in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, also at NUS, with a Master of Dental Surgery. He also obtained Fellowships of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and Academy of Medicine Singapore, and is an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with the Singapore Dental Specialist Accreditation Board. 

In 2012, Dr Soong was accoladed the Health Manpower Development Plan award by SingHealth to pursue further training in Advanced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, where he spent 1 year in Switzerland as a Clinical Fellow focusing on facial trauma at Inselspital Bern University Hospital, during which he also obtained the degree of Doctor Medicinae Dentium by research.

Dr. Soong is involved with graduate teaching of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residents in the SingHealth Duke-NUS Oral Health Academic Clinical Programme, as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the NUS Faculty of Dentistry, and is a Dental Advisor with the Healthcare Finance Division, Ministry of Health. He was most recently honoured as a Superstar Clinician at the Singapore Health Quality Service Awards 2020 and the Exemplary Service Excellence – Individual award at the Public Sector Transformation Awards 2020.

Dr Stephanie Young is a Senior Consultant eye surgeon and Director of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Eagle Eye Centre. She has a special interest in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, lacrimal system and orbit. She has a special interest in eyelid surgery for functional and cosmetic indications, and treats many patients with droopy eyelids, eyelid malpositions, double eye lid creation and more. She is also well-versed in General Opthalmology.

Dr Young was previously an Assistant Professor with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and remains a Visiting Consultant at the Ophthalmology Department in National University Hospital. She is active in Oculoplastic-related research and has published many papers on the subject in peer-reviewed journals and several book chapters. She has also won awards including American Academy of Ophthalmology Achievement Award (2019), Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology Best Scientific Paper (2018,2019), Wong Hock Boon Society Outstanding Mentor Award (2017) and Gold Medal and Book Prize in Opthalmology.

Dr Chee Seng Lee

Singapore

Dr Lee Chee Seng is a specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.

He graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours in 2010. After graduation from dental school, Dr Lee worked in private practice as a general dentist for 5 years in Melbourne, Australia. He then furthered his studies and obtained his Master of Dental Surgery in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the National University of Singapore in 2019, before joining Khoo Teck Puat Hospital as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Registrar.

Dr Lee is currently an Associate Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and serves on the Operating Theatre Committee at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and 3D Printing Workgroup at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

He is a member of the Asian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is currently the Treasurer of the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Singapore.

Dr Lee has special interests in orthognathic surgery with a focus on patients with sleep disorders, dentoalveolar bone grafting and dental implants.

Dr. Sha Yang obtained her Bachelor in Dental Surgery from National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2013. After graduation, she served in various public health institutions for 4 years, during which she developed a strong interest in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. In 2017, Dr Sha was admitted into the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Programme in NUS and received the Master in Dental Surgery in 2020. Dr. Sha joined Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, Department of Dental Surgery as a Registrar in 2020, where she continues to serve a diverse community of patients to date. Aside of her regular clinical work, Dr Sha enjoys promoting professional growth via inter-disciplinary and inter-institutional collaborations. Since her election into the current executive committee of the Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons Singapore, Dr Sha has worked alongside her peers to organize various nationwide advanced training for dental practitioners and fellow OMS surgeons, locoregional OMS conventions and several community outreach programme. She has a particular clinical interest in orthognathic surgeries, craniofacial implantology, facial aesthetics and reconstructions.
