Prof Peter A. Adamson

Peter A. Adamson, OOnt, MD, FRCSC, FACS, is recognized as an international leader in facial plastic surgery. He studied head and neck surgery at the University of Toronto and was awarded the prestigious McLaughlin Fellowship to study cosmetic facial surgery at Tulane University in New Orleans. He established his private practice in Toronto in 1981, and currently has a private clinic in Yorkville in mid-town Toronto.

Dr. Adamson is on staff at The Toronto General Hospital in the University Health Network. He is Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, Division of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Toronto. Dr. Adamson lectures nationally and internationally on the latest advances in cosmetic facial surgery. He has contributed more than 235 scientific publications to the medical literature, and made hundreds of medical presentations and surgical demonstrations in 40 countries. Dr. Adamson published Fabulous Faces, the critically acclaimed patient guide to cosmetic facial surgery.

Dr. Adamson’s expertise includes eyelid and facelift surgery, cosmetic and reconstructive nasal surgery, revision nasal surgery, endoscopic rejuvenation, laser resurfacing, Botox, and facial fillers as well as other facial plastic surgery procedures. He has served as President of both the Canadian and American Academies of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and has received numerous honours and awards for his professional contributions. He was instrumental in creating the board examination and is past President of the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and current President of the International Board for Certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is also President and Founder of the Face the Future™ Foundation, a humanitarian organization that sponsors overseas missions for surgeons to operate on underprivileged children with congenital and traumatic facial deformities.

Dr. Adamson was appointed to the Order of Ontario, the Province of Ontario’s highest honour, in December of 2016. This distinction was in recognition of Dr. Adamson’s surgical teaching, professional leadership and humanitarian missions.

Prof Hesham Saleh

Mr Hesham Saleh MBBCh, FRCS, FRCS (ORL-HNS) is a consultant rhinologist/facial plastic surgeon at Charing Cross Hospital. He is also an honorary senior lecturer of ENT surgery at Imperial College, London. Mr Saleh is a leading international figure in rhinoplasty, both cosmetic and functional, and in sinus surgery. His work in complex rhinoplasty and sinus surgery is well-recognised nationally and internationally. He was selected by The Times as one of Britain’s top 140 doctors and one of the top 50 surgeons. He was also listed by Tatler magazine as one of the top 30 British cosmetic surgeons and best for noses. Mr Saleh is President Elect of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (EAFPS) and current President of the British Society of Facial Plastic Surgery (BSFPS). He is the Past President of the section of Laryngology and Rhinology in the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM) and holder of the W. J. Harrison Award for the greatest contribution towards advancement of knowledge in the section. Mr Saleh is also an elected council member of the British Rhinological Society (BRS). He is regularly invited as an international expert in rhinoplasty and sinus surgery to conferences worldwide. He is the co-director of the London rhinoplasty course and teaches in several similar courses across the UK and abroad. Mr Saleh has published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and several book chapters on rhinoplasty and sinus surgery. He is the chairman of the editorial board of The Journal of ENT Masterclass.

Dr Anjana Haridas

Mrs Anjana Haridas is currently a full-time NHS Consultant Ophthalmologist (eye doctor) at the Cardiff Eye Unit, University Hospital of Wales (Heath Hospital) and Bridgend Eye Unit, Princess of Wales Hospital.

Dr Anjana graduated from Cambridge, where she earned a double 1st class degree, and then Oxford University Medical School.  She completed most of my ophthalmology training in the East of England Deanery and has been an ophthalmologist for 13 years.

She was fortunate to have the opportunity to complete three world-renowned oculoplastic fellowships in Cambridge, Australia (Brisbane) and Moorfields Eye Hospital in London (with Professor JRO Collin in Europe’s largest eye hospital).  She therefore has particular expertise in Eyelid, Lacrimal (tear drainage) and Orbital (eye socket) reconstructive surgery.

Special Interests and procedures

Areas of interest include eyelid cancer, thyroid eye disease and paediatric oculoplastics.

The following procedures are included in her scope of work:

Dr Anjana is actively involved in national and international research and has previously been awarded a Fight for Sight Award for research into Thyroid Eye Disease.  She currently train international and national fellows in oculoplastic surgery.  She is a member of multiple professional organisations, including BOPSS (British OculoPlastic Surgical Society).

Mr Sandeep Uppal graduated from University of Delhi, India in 1990. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery from University of Delhi, India in 1995. Subsequently he trained and qualified as a Specialist in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery in the UK. He is a Fellow of both the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

Mr Uppal served a one-year fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery conducted by the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery. He then completed the certification process of the International and European Boards of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He was awarded the Claus D. Walter Award for Academic Excellence by the International Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2012. He has also served a one-year fellowship in Advanced Rhinology and Endoscopic Anterior Skull Base Surgery conducted by the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Mr Uppal’s research and clinical interests have resulted in numerous publications in peer reviewed international journals as well as presentations at various international courses, workshops and conferences. He was awarded a PhD by the University of Leeds, UK in 2012. He is actively involved in teaching and examining undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
